Industrial Development Agency (IDA)

 

The IDA is responsible for the attraction and development of foreign investment in Ireland. The IDA offers a range of services and incentives, including funding and grants, are available to those considering foreign direct investment in Ireland. The Regional Skills North East is part of a national programme funded by the Department of Further and Higher Education, Research, Innovation and Science. They work with Employers and Education & Training providers to address the skills needs of Business in Louth, Cavan, and Monaghan.

They are a collaborative partnership between Enterprise, Education & Training providers, Enterprise Agencies, Local Authorities, Government bodies and Local Development Organizations, who collectively are working to advance skills within the region.

  • European Agricultural Fund for Rural Development (LEADER)

The LEADER Rural Development Programme 2023-27 has a total budget of €6 million for County Monaghan. The ‘Local Development Committee’ will be the Local Action Group charged with overseeing this programme and it will be delivered by Monaghan Integrated Development Ltd. Applications offering up to 50% grant aid to rural enterprises are available under the programme.
